"Canada intends to vary the law to create it tougher for asylum seekers rejected by countries just like the United States of America to file exile claims at the border.
The move comes as thousands of asylum seekers have crossed the border after their claims were rejected in the US.
Amendments were introduced on Monday evening within the Liberal government's 392-page omnibus budget bill.

The law would enable immigration officers at the border to reject exile claims if the asylum seeker has already created a claim in associate degreeother country that has an immigration information-sharing agreement with Canada.
